Black Internationalism:
Kwame Nkrumah, a visionary Ghanaian leader and statesman once said, “We face neither East nor West; we face forward.” In this spirit, we invite you to our Political and Financial Education Workshops series, #UjimaWednesdays: Internationalism. Internationalism is a political and social ideology that emphasizes cooperation, solidarity, and unity among nations and peoples on a global scale. Presenters will speak from their experiences and practice leading internationalist efforts to understand and unify oppressed communities. With each session, our speakers will not only define internationalism but also share their experiences and practice with leading internationalist efforts to unify oppressed communities who have and currently struggle immensely under colonialism, and capitalism-imperialism.

Liz Oliva Fernández is a 29-year-old award-winning Cuban journalist, presenter and producer with Belly of the Beast. She has won a Gracie Award and was co-winner of a One World Media Award and a Telly Award.
