Ujima Cafe is part office hours and part hangout. Join us this Saturday at Comfort Kitchen for a special Ujima Cafe patio takeover!
Artist Njeri Ngugi will lead By the Water We Came, a workshop exploring the cultural identities of Palestine, Congo, Brazil, and Dorchester through the lens of water and movement. Participants will reflect on how the Dead Sea, Congo River, Amazon River, and Neponset River have influenced liberation and communal care. Engage in discussions, share personal stories, and contribute to a community archive through maps, quotes, and collages. Please bring a printed image/ photocopy of something physical that is a product of an artist of the diaspora.
Enjoy a specialty menu with chocolate torte bites, guava pastelitos, cheddar-chive scones, chocolate muffins, blueberry scones, and sorrel iced tea. You can also order from Comfort Kitchen’s new full-service brunch menu. Bring your friends and family for great food, conversation, and creativity. Check out the menu here—see you there! Please note: enter through the patio, left of the main entrance.
