Description
Resource Member Team:
The Resource member team collaborates with values-aligned partners dedicated to providing unrestricted multi-year support and/or engaging in recurring giving practices. Additionally, the team plays a key role in cultivating resources to sustain the long-term operating costs of the Boston Ujima Project.
Resourcing Night School:
The Boston Ujima Project is excited to launch Night School, a program aimed at enhancing members' knowledge in donorship, resourcing, and philanthropy with a focus on Black giving. This initiative will cover topics such as relationship management, equity-based fundraising, and philanthropy history, and will actively engage the resourcing team. Sessions will include institutional giving, time banking, trust-based philanthropy, resource organizing, asset mapping, and capacity building, exploring their impacts and benefits. We are committed to creating a dynamic curriculum, recruiting experienced facilitators, and engaging members, with feedback guiding ongoing improvements and continuous support from the Resource Organizing Fellow.
For our next session: Endowments are often seen as tools for preserving institutional wealth — but what if we reimagined them as vehicles for collective power and liberation? In this Resourcing Night School session, we’ll hear from a panel of movement-aligned practitioners who are reshaping the purpose and practice of endowments. Together, we’ll unpack what endowments are, how they work, and what it takes to build one rooted in community values.
Meeting Schedule:
The Resource member team meets every first Wednesday at 7:15 PM at our #UjimaWednesdays: Political & Financial Education Workshops.
Note: Resource Member team meetings are always virtual unless otherwise mentioned.
