Thank you for a wonderful meeting this past Monday! 

 

1. We spent the bulk of the meeting affirming and finalizing the minimum standards the committee put forth in our July meeting. These standards are highlighted in Red/Coral/Pink on the spreadshhet linked in below:

Congratulations! We have set 16 minimum standards in the areas of Good Faith Effort, Inclusive Ownership, Inclusive Workforce, Good Jobs, Worker Power, Vendors, Energy, Civic Engagement, and Workplace Safety so far!

 

2. We spent the remainder of the meeting exploring additional areas that staff flagged where either no minimums were set by the group in July, but individual members of the committee subsequently suggested minimums, or no minimums were set by the group in July, and we wanted to ensure that this was intentional and not an oversight. These areas are highlighted in Green/Slate/Seafoam on the spreadsheet linked above. As a next step/homework, we ask you to review these areas (there are 20 total), and come prepared with answers to the following questions (for each area highlighted Green/Slate/Seafoam): a. Should there be a minimum standard in this area?; b. Why/Why not?; c. If so, what?

 

3. Our next Community Standards Committee Meeting will be Monday, September 24, 6:00pm at our new office space, 434 Massachusetts Ave (Boston), 2nd Floor, Conference Room.

 

At this meeting we will complete the process of setting initial minimum standards, start the process of incorporating member feedback, start the process of creating sector-specific addenda. To prepare for the process of incorporating member feedback, we ask you to review the member report linked in below:

Please review the member feedback for the categories you explored in our July meeting (or assigned yourself on Monday), and come prepared with answers to the following questions (for each area): a.
