At this meeting we will continue the process of setting the minimums we've emerged with so far against sector-specific practices and realities to further refine our standards. We will also start the process of integrating member feedback on standards.
Prep:
1. Please review your column on the spreadsheet and ensure that each cell is completed. If you do not have a suggested minimum for that specific area, please write in "None" or "N/A" in that cell. I will make a column for myself, as an example, just in case that will be helpful for anyone; look for my example column by end of day tomorrow and please don't regard it as fixed or suggestive.
2. At our last meeting, we heard from Matahari, Boston Jobs Coalition, City Life/Vida Urbana, Right to the City, and ACE about the domestic worker, construction, and affordable housing sectors. The notes for this conversation are attached (thank you Lucas!). Additionally, Rick Rabin, of MassCOSH has sent along a document with their recommended minimum standards. These notes are attached (thank you Rick!) Please review both set of notes and start to think about how to incorporate these sector realities and best practices into our minimum standards.
Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or feedback.
Thank you and looking forward!
