Community Standards Committee July Meeting

We are really excited for this committee to be getting underway, and have a few requests for you at this time!

Diving into Standards: Please take some time between now and the week of July 14th to start thinking about the Community Standards Process, and giving feedback-- details below. This will take some time, so we encourage you to give yourselves time to look things over. 

Here's a Packet with Information for you all to review & reference, which includes a Summary of the Standards Committee Role, an Ujima One Pager, and Notes from our Member Meeting Discussions about the BusinessStandards. Feel free to comment with questions or thoughts directly on any of these docs. 

Most importantly, we are hoping that you can all look at and fill in the Good Business Standards Excel Sheet. Please go to the tab: "Committee Worksheet: Min. Standards Ideas," and then follow the instructions highlighted in gold. Also including instructions here: 

1) Under your name, please comment with your initial ideas on what should be the minimum standards for the Ujima Business Alliance/ businesses that receive Ujima investment. 

2) Under the "Next Standards Priority" Column, put your initials in this column for the top 10 areas that you think businesses should make the most progress on, beyond the minimum standards.

These requests are intended to get everyone's thoughts flowing, and start to identify any patterns or areas of uncertainty so that the collective process will be more productive when we next come together. None of this is at all set in stone! Please let us know if you have questions about any of this. Anyone would be willing to hop on the phone or respond via email.
